In a previous career, I had researched this technology for clients and quickly realized the potential of laser technology with highly detailed models, engraving detailed pictures on a host of materials, and producing 3D images in wood.

What is a CO2 laser system?

The best way to describe how the laser system works is to compare the system to a printer. Instead of ink, a laser beam engraves and cuts into a wide variety of materials. The laser beam is created by exciting high pressure CO2 gas with electricity to create a very intense beam of invisible light, which is operated by a precise motion control system. Whether engraving logos, detailed pictures, 3D images, or cutting intricate parts, the laser will produce detailed jobs accurately 100% of the time.

Material Categories

CO2 laser system engrave, mark, and cut many types of materials. The laser beam will cut wood, acrylic, leather, fabric, paper, cardboard, and Corian to name a few. The same materials can be engraved or marked including glass, coated metals, painted metals, and tile. Bare metal can be marked as well if precoated with marking solution.
